Went hiking here on June 6th, and the part of the hike from the dam to the entrance (basically the entire west part of the lake) is closed until further notice due to existing landslides.

this website states that this hike is dog friendly but there is a sign on the gate that states no dogs allowed... this is not cool for those of us who take our dogs. Please update website!!!

the dog icon is faded (light brown - not dark brown), that means no dogs.
  • Summer  - Great hike.
This is a beautiful hike. There isn't a place to get right next to the lake, you're mostly walking on service roads used by the water department, but when you look over the side at the lake, it's divine. Super-peaceful and quiet. Shows the reason why living in the Hollywood Hills is so desirable.

Spectacular city views. No elevation makes it more of a "walk." - Candice - rating:4 stars - 2006-02-15
